At Bong, we believe that packaging is essential so that our customers can protect their products, transport them safely, showcase them and enhance their brand image.
However, on a planet where each of our acts has an impact on the environment, we believe that our common future depends on decisions taken with a responsible approach today.
Through its actions in favour of sustainable development, Bong is committed to reducing the environmental impact of the company and the products we manufacture.
Our purpose being to tend towards a circular economy, the eco-design of our products is a constant issue. Our efforts focus on the design and manufacture of the packaging in our plants, but also on all the phases of the product life cycle, from the responsible sourcing of our raw materials to the optimized recycling of the finished product.
By paying attention to the expectations of our customers, we give priority to recyclable and responsible packaging, favouring converting of a noble material, paper. We are committed to limiting our impact on the environment during all of our production processes, encourage our suppliers to do the same and end consumers to sort and recycle packaging. We thus support our customers in their ecological transition by offering them sustainable packaging, in accordance with their sustainable development approach.
Certifications and eco-labels
Imprim'vert
Imprim'Vert distinguishes companies carrying out printing activities and implementing concrete actions leading to a reduction in their impact on the environment. Through our IMPRIM'VERT certification, Bong undertakes in particular to collect and dispose of its waste in accordance with regulations by approved collectors, not to use products identified as "toxic", to set up specific internal communication in order to raise awareness among all staff, set up quarterly monitoring of their energy consumption and transmit this statement at each renewal of our certification.
FSC®
The Forest Stewardship Council® is an international, non-governmental, not-for-profit organization that promotes environmentally appropriate, socially beneficial and economically viable management of the world's forests. For more information, visit www.fsc.org. Our FSC number: C111622
Ecovadis
With Gold / Silver / Bronze badges and certificates, EcoVadis assesses the commitment of companies, gives them the recognition their CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) performance deserves and brings the credibility of a solid methodology recognized worldwide. The rating covers a wide range of management systems, including their impact on issues such as the environment, labour and human rights, ethics and sustainable sourcing. For the 7th consecutive year, Bong obtains a Gold rating in 2023.
ISO 9001
ISO 9001 is defined as the international standard that specifies the requirements of a quality management system.
PEFC
PEFC is an organization that certifies sustainable forest management in 55 countries around the world. It promotes a balance between the environmental, societal and economic issues involved in forestry based on guarantees of sustainable practices and the involvement of forest owners.
ISO 14001
ISO 14001 is an internationally recognized standard which defines the requirements of an environmental management system. As part of this certification, we conduct an annual review of our environmental impacts, determine the improvements made and set our own objectives for the coming year. This active approach is also a way of constructively influencing our partners (suppliers, subcontractors and customers) by encouraging them to adopt the same eco-responsible attitude.
NF Environnement standard - NF 316
Guaranteed safety and quality of the finished product. This certification guarantees the optical and mechanical characteristics of the product as well as its printability, the improvement of its recycling, the reduction of energy consumption and emissions into the air and water during the manufacture of the paper of the envelope and the absence of the use of hazardous substances for glues and inks.

United Nations Global Compact
Through the Bong group, we support the United Nations Global Compact and the 10 principles concerning respect for human rights, international labor standards, environmental protection and the fight against corruption.
Through our active participation in CITEO we help preserve the environment by advancing recycling. The purpose of our action is the sustainable development of the paper industry, in which economic performance meets environmental performance. Our contribution to this eco-organization allows us to help finance local authorities in the form of support for recycling, finance and organize the green growth of the sector as our extended responsibility as a producer.
CSR Report 2022-2023
As a partner committed to our customers and the preservation of the environment, we work every day to improve our CSR performance. In 2024, we are publishing a new CSR report that compiles all the actions we were able to take in 2022 and 2023, thanks to the involvement of our stakeholders, to reduce our carbon footprint while ensuring that we value our employees and innovate to meet our customers’ challenges. Our aim is to establish a culture of sustainable development. It’s a real source of satisfaction to see that, little by little, each department is integrating CSR into its operations, and that our efforts are producing results.
